The news that a beer is being brewed using run-off from the melting Arctic ice cap comes as a terrible blow. It's a slap in the face to all of us who've been fighting global warming to think that beer drinking slobs around the world will soon be literally drinking our melting future. The product is made at a plant in Narsaq Greenland, which is 390 miles south of the Arctic Circle.
And, we're informed that the brewery is Inuit. Inuit my ass! The indigenous peoples of Greenland are well aware of the threats of global warming: they're forced to live with it day in and day out. There is no way in the world that any true native person would condone or much less be involved in this scandalous operation. Thankfully, that's confirmed with the knowledge that none other than Steen Outzen owns the brewery.
I urge you to write, call, FAX, or email Denmark (which owns Greenland) and tell them to stop this practice immediately:

I couldn't agree more, Lori.
This is a scandalous practice, and is only convincing idiots world-wide that global warming is good for us.
I'm currently looking in to buying an electric car. Although I'm only fifteen, my parents are considering the option, thanks to me.

I have just read your little outburst and I need to correct you in almost all of what you have written.
First of all our brewery is based in Narsaq, South Greenland. I co-own it with Mr. Salik Hard who is an inuit, living in Narsaq. Second, We do not harvest the ice directly from the glaciers. We harvest the ice from ocean after the glaciers have pushed the ice out into the ocean. Third , Two danish scientist have just proven that the Greenland Ice Cap and its glaciers has been withdrawing for the last 100 years. The global warming can NOT be registred in the thickness of the ice cap or on the amount of ice thats is been pushed into the sea around Greenland. This has just been published at a conference in Cambridge, England.
If you are an honest person with clean conscience you will imediately post these facts and perhapse even tell the readers that you are sorry for not doing your homework properly - otherwise I will !!! I wil even consider legal actions against you.

I don't really quite understand how you could call this 'scandalous' or anything. It's not harming a thing. They're just using ice broken off of glaciers that have probably been there for 1000's of years. Not a big deal to me. Not like it helps induce global warming more. No, in fact, if they're making the glaciers smaller, is that not a good thing?
