BRENTWOOD, CA; ASPEN, CO - Ariadne Huffanan of HuffAndBlow.com and Andrew Breitbart of BigJournalism.com today announced that they've filed suit against Arianna Huffington of HuffingtonPost.com for stealing the concept, design, and implementation of HuffAndBlow.com
"Andrew and I made this decision with great deliberation", Ms. Huffanan stated. "The last thing we wanted to do was sue what we both call 'that parvenue site' (HuffingtonPost.com). However, Huffington's latest actions and statements have left us no choice."
Mr. Breitbart stated: "Arianna has left me no choice. I helped Ms. Huffanan start HuffAndBlow.com years ago, only to find Ms. Huffington steal our ideas for the site. Not content simply to steal our ideas, Ms. Huffington has been waging a personal war against me, such as by pointing out how some of the videos I've posted to my sites might not be what I claimed they were."
Charges in the pro per lawsuit filed in West Los Angeles Supreme Court include: Business Interference; Conversion; Theft; Deprivation of Chattel; Trespass to Chattel; Extortion; Treason (3 US 48); Alienation of Trademark Chattel; Alienation of Party Affiliation; Infringement of Persona; Emotional Distress; Attractive Nuisance; Invasion of Privacy; False Light Impersonation; Civil Rights Violations; Accent Impersonation; Libel of Tea Party; Trademark Infringement; Malicious Persecution; Slander; Libel; Patent Infringement; Copyright Infringement; and various other torts, misdemeanors, and felonies (18 US 43, 17 US 2).
Those expected to be deposed in the suit include Eric Boehlert of Media Matters, Dana Loesch of HUAC, former Vice President Al Gore, Barack Obama, the Pope, and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
