Jackie Johnson of KCAL

Jackie Johnson is the weather "girl" at KCAL 9 TV in Los Angeles, and this picture shows her qualifications for this important job:

KCAL9 used to be owned by Disney, as these pics show. They're also affiliated with KCBS. Yes, that's right: CBS. The same honored network that gave us Edward R. Morrow and Zeke Whittle's protege Walter Cronkite.

Jackie says she's a "journalist" because she's "fascinated by weather". Well, I'm more than just "fascinated" by the coming global warming crisis, and I know that this so-called meteorologist (more like a "weathergirl") will never tell us about it. She should just pose for Playboy and leave the "journalism" to those who have different talents:

The solution to global warming?

A town in Italy that's inside a deep valley doesn't get sunlight during several months of the year, and they've come up with a horrific "solution": installing a giant mirror on a neighboring mountain to reflect sunlight into their town's piazza (that's Italian for "town square").

Even worse, we're informed that other cities in Canada, the U.S., and France are looking into similar plans.

Obviously, attempts like this will simply exacerbate global warming, reflecting the sun back to previously cool areas, heating the Earth and leading us to a global catastrophe. Some cities are even considering sawing the tops off mountains to get sunlight.

However, these plans set me to thinking, and I've asked several members of my Arcata Project to look into this matter.

What if we installed giant mirrors on high mountains, and had them reflect the sunlight back into space? We could even use the Hubble Space Telescope to carry giant - but lightweight - foil "sun reflectors" so some of the Sun's heat doesn't reach the Earth.

Of course, this would just be a stopgap measure until we can elect President Gore in 2008, then we can finally ratify the Kyoto Accords and start to work on a real solution and stop the coming global superstorm.

Microwave your bra to end Global Warming? Stop pulling my chain.

microwave bra japan triumph international

I'm so mad at Triumph International, I could spit! But, since I'm a well-respected actress I won't do that. That lingerie maker has come out with a bra that you put in your microwave. That heats up the material inside, supposedly keeping you warm.

It is obvious to me that this is just their latest attempt to get publicity and draw attention to themselves. And, by the way, that's only going to make the environment worse!

Japan has a "Warm Biz" campaign that wants people to wear more clothing in order to save on heating. At first glance this might appear like it might help, but what about all the electricity those microwaves require? And, what happens when those microwaves are thrown out? What about this so-called "eco-friendly" gel in the bra? How do we know that doesn't contain harsh chemicals that could seep into our ground water?

According to their press release:

"We hope this will not only help prevent global warming but also provide a little fashion chic to the office."

Real cute. How could the land that brought us the Kyoto Protocols - that Bush refused to sign - bring us this? Everyone knows the best way to end global warming: personal energy generation from the wind. This has nothing to do with that.

I have a message for Triumph: do not try to sell your wares in Beverly Hills: we aren't buying it.

What Rolling Stone isn't telling you about Global Warming

Rolling Stone Magazine has released their list of the "Top 25" "warriors" and "heroes" who are trying to stop Global Warming. I am not on the list.

Hello? Lori Gold, Brentwood Confidential, wind generation: ring any bells, Jann?

While there are several fine friends on the list, Rolling Stone Magazine continues their practice of ignoring small wind systems. Yes, driving your Prius helps, but using the wind to generate your own energy helps even more! Why exactly would Jann do this? What is his game? If not me, then Dr. Helmut Schroedingser should have been on the list. And, what is The Gropenator Arnold Schwarzenegger doing on the list? If he had his way we'd get power by burning cats and dogs, he's that evil.

What are they trying to hide from you?

Free the Downing Street Memo!

I urge all of you to contact the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Times, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Chicago Tribune, and all other newspapers you can think of and demand that they cover the Downing Street Memo. This memo has received almost no notice in the corporate-controlled press.

That memo makes it clear that George W. Bush planned to fit the "evidence" to his plans to invade and occupy Iraq for their oil and to build pipelines, using our money to rebuild their country and enrich his friends.

If you need background on this issue, please see this page. The media has ignored this issue, so it's up to us to get the word out there!

To be frank, I was a bit unclear on why Air America's hosts are so adamant about bringing back the Fairness Doctrine, but considering the media blackout on this story I now fully support their efforts and I encourage you to do the same! Please, contact the media and demand they take off the gag and discuss this!

President Potemkin

bush visit georgia

A "Potemkin village" is a false front, like the Wild West storefronts on the lots at Paramount or Fox. In Brentwood Confidential, we didn't use any sets like that, because it was set in the present day.

Our "President" is also a "Potemkin President." Remember earlier this week when he was in Georgia, the country that used to be part of Russia (Potemkin is a Russian word.)

Well, guess who paid for everything you see in the picture to the right. Yes, that's right: you and me! The whole visit of "President Potemkin" to Georgia was paid for by the U.S. The whole thing was choreographed by the White House, just like a TV director directs a show!

What better way to show support for Bush than to pay for everything!

I just can't believe that we paid for our own brainwashing!

While the Bush administration's refusal to support Personal Wind Farms is one thing, this is far far worse.

The biggest story... never told!

At 1pm on March 20, 2005, gas prices for premium full serve in Malibu reached over $3 per gallon. Believe it or don't: you can look it up.

What could be behind this massive price increase, and, more importantly, who stands to profit? And, even more importantly, what aren't they telling you about alternatives?

Now, you might think of me as just an actress and the former star of Brentwood Confidential. But, what you don't know is that I'm also a committed political activist. When I'm not reading scripts or doing all the other things actresses do, I'm studying and reading about politics and energy policy. I soon began to ask myself, "What aren't they telling me about energy alternatives?" Digging further, I realized that George W. Bush, Karl Rove, their Texas energy buddies, and even the entire U.S. energy industry is deliberately trying to prevent alternatives from coming to market.

A case in point are PWFs. You've probably never heard of PWFs, but that stands for "Personal Wind Farms," sometimes called Small Wind Systems. At our property, we've installed several wind generating turbines in appropriate places. There are over a dozen placed in various passes throughout the property. These turbines generate clean, cheap energy, and we rely on them for almost half of our energy needs. Now, why haven't you heard about these before, and why aren't more Americans using them?

There are very many smart people on this site, several of whom have graduated from college. I invite all of them to help me figure out, "What aren't they telling us about energy alternatives?" Together we can find the answer to that question.
